Home Church Video: Staking Our Claim on Freedom in Christ ~ Part 4 ~ Freedom from Anxiety

God’s word has been telling us for a very long time that the inner condition of our souls can affect us physically, mentally, and spiritually. 

Proverbs 17:22 makes this clear. One aspect of our focus in freedom ministry is to move people from a “crushed spirit” to a “joyful heart”. 

To do that, one thing we need to deal with is our propensity to anxiety.

Underneath our bondage to anxiety is a deeper issue, that we are handling things in our own strength and growing increasingly weary of the responsibility. A consistent aspect of freedom ministry is uncovering ways we are relying on our sarks instead of on the Spirit, and leading us to set our minds on the Spirit for the handling of both inner and outer problems.

God invites his children to the freedom of casting our anxieties upon him because he cares for us. This transfers the responsibility from the hopeless effort to handle things in our sarks (flesh), to the hope and peace of putting these things into God's hands and walking by faith.

Join our home church as we explore how God invites us to freedom from anxiety through learning to cast our anxieties on him and let him look after even the most painful of experiences and concerns.
