Pastoral Pings ~ Reading the Book That Sings us God's Song

The reason evolutionary thinking will always fall short of explaining who we are, and where we came from, is its refusal to consider that the One who made everything of space, time, and matter, is not himself made of or confined to space, time, and matter.

When evolutionists set the rules about life to naturalistic science, denying any possibility of a spiritual realm, or a spirit-being who is in and beyond everything we know in the material realm, they close the door to the one place where all our questions can be answered.

On the other hand, when we allow the obvious, that whoever created this universe of space, time, and matter, would not himself be made of or confined to space, time, and matter, we can then look for the evidence that claims to identify this person.

When we allow ourselves to weigh all the possible explanations for this Being who surrounds and fills our material universe in a way that naturalistic science cannot measure, and we consider which is the best and most supported documentation, and explanation, and revelation of this Spirit-being, one book stands out from all the others as the only one that speaks of things that man could not imagine.

There is only one book in the world that speaks of a work of God in creation, and in salvation, that explains who we are, why we are here, what’s wrong with us, why everyone dies, why there is worldwide evidence of a worldwide flood, why most cultures believe in an afterlife, and identifies what that afterlife is, and how to have it.

Yes, if the Spirit-being who created us, and watched us turn away from him in sin, wanted to reach out to us and bring us into his salvation that would return us to him forever, he would need to get someone’s attention, tell them what was on his mind, and get them to write it down.

God chose to do this through forty men, over such a long period of time, with a cohesive thread of consistency that sounds like God teaching each member of his orchestra their own unique part of his divine symphony. When all the parts are played together, and all the choir members sing their harmony, the whole world can know that the God of heaven has sung into the world the most amazing love song we could ever imagine.

And it is all available to us in his book, the Bible.
