Considerations: The Author of LIfe

Although people have long been enamored  by figures like Hercule Poirot, and Miss Marpole, the real genius is that of Agatha Christie, the author who could coordinate such complex plots and themes into mysteries that have delighted and tantalized her fans for decades.

Although scientists delight in the wonders of atoms, molecules, DNA, blood, tissues, brain chemistry, coordinated systems, symbiotic relationships, eco systems, planet-life, nebulas, and solar systems, the real genius is that of the God who authored and created the heavens, the earth, and all they contain , who has delighted, encouraged, and uplifted his children for millennia.

Jesus Christ is “the author of life” (Acts 3:15) in creation, and he is the author, or “founder” (Hebrews 12:2), of new life via redemption. Every wondering thought about how a whole universe, down to the connection of protons, neutrons and electrons, holds together, or how man contemplates the mysteries of life as no other creature ever bothers, directs our hearts, souls and minds to consider the author who dreamed it up, wrote the script, and animated the story. He even shows us the script for how the last chapter will play out (God wins).

The real wonder is that the author of material and spiritual invites us to adoption as his brothers, and to know his Father as our Father. Who would not want to live in such a story as this? Who would not want a love-relationship with the author of life?
