All the promises of God already fulfilled,
and all the prophecies that came about exactly as God had spoken them,
guarantee and affirm that Jesus’ coming will take place just as God promised. It
will be a terror to those who have refused Jesus Christ, while being a delight
to those who have come to him in repentance and faith.
There is not a will of any person on earth,
or any person in the spiritual realm, that can change what God says will happen
when Jesus comes. We can only choose now that we will come into the household
of God through the adoption that is freely offered us in the Lord Jesus Christ.
When we come into the family of God by faith
in Jesus Christ, and our sins are washed away by the blood of the Lamb, this is
what WILL happen at Jesus’ return: “And he (Jesus) WILL
send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they WILL gather his elect
from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew
24:31)
