Considerations ~ Fullness of Joy in Fellowship with Jesus

Different Scriptures are like colors of the spectrum that must be combined with all the others in order to give us the pure experience of the fullness of light. Look at the beautiful expression that comes by layering together these various colors of the spectrum of God’s glorious grace towards his people.

1.     “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)

2.    “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

3.    These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. (John 15:11)

4.    Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (I Peter 1:8-9)

5.    For you make him most blessed forever; you make him glad with the joy of your presence.” (Psalm 21:6)

6.    “Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, ‘Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;” (Revelation 19:6-7)

7.    Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. (Philippians 4:4)

Conclusion: In these seven colors of the spectrum we see this glorious light, that God’s children will have the eternal experience of God’s joy in their everlasting fellowship with the Son of God, who is exalted at the right hand of the loving Father, and in whom are the pleasures that are at the right hand of God forevermore, Amen.
