Considerations: "The Wonderful Blessings on the Wonder-filled Blessed"

How wonderful that the kingdom of heaven is for the poor in spirit who cannot do even one thing to attain a good standing with God, or even contribute to their own good-standing with God, rather than for the proud of spirit who think they are as rich as they ever need to be.

How wonderful that the kingdom of heaven is for those who mourn what they are like, not for those who boast about what they are like.

How wonderful that the kingdom of heaven is for the meek who know they cannot do anything to fix what is wrong with them, rather than for the mighty who think they are able to attain whatever their dreams desire.

How wonderful that the kingdom of heaven is for those who hunger and thirst for a righteousness they do not have, a righteousness they know they can receive through faith in Jesus Christ, rather than for those who believe they are already as good as any god could ever require them to be.

Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for THEIRS is the kingdom of heaven.” Be blessed! (Based on Matthew 5:1-12)
