Considerations ~ The Value of God’s Will in Church Discipline

Carrying out church discipline[1] according to the will and word of God is as much joining God in his work[2] as any other act of obedient faith.[3] Biblical church discipline is as much doing what our Father is doing, as Jesus healing a man on the Sabbath.[4] Lovingly disciplining God’s unrepentantly disobedient children[5] is working out our salvation with fear and trembling[6] because God himself is working in us[7] to will to carry out church discipline.[8] God himself is working in his people as much to do the work of carrying out church discipline, as any other way we could possible keep in step with the Holy Spirit[9] who dwells in the midst of God’s Holy Temple, the Church.[10]
