Why Jesus? Reasons 16-20

The next five cards in the "Why Jesus?" series focus on Jesus' ministry of salvation. Without this salvation, every person remains in their sins, and under the condemnation their sins deserve. We must come to Jesus in salvation now, so we will be welcomed into his eternal presence when he returns.

In God's grace and love, he gave his Son a name that would speak of his desire for our salvation. Everyone who believes in Jesus will be saved.

Jesus' identity as the Lamb of God signifies the way he would bring about salvation from sin, by laying down his life as the perfect sacrifice.

As we consider the purpose of Jesus' coming into the world, it comes down to this, that he came to save sinners, no matter how bad.

There can be no salvation without redeeming us out of our sinful condition. Jesus poured out his blood, purchasing us out of our condemnation, forgiving all our sins.

The gospel is the good news of what Jesus has done in redemption. It now brings people to believe in Jesus' name, and so receive his salvation.
